The Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) is a trade organisation established in 1972 to drive availability and accessibility to life-saving and life-changing innovative medicines in Malaysia.

The organisation represents forty member companies, the majority of which are the largest global biopharmaceutical companies.

In the last five decades, PhAMA has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s healthcare system through professional and technical advice to key stakeholders within the government and beyond. Examples include the early consultancy and collaborative efforts which resulted in the formation of the Malaysian Healthcare Tourism Council (MHTC), Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) and National Medicine Policy (Dasar Ubat Negara) today.

As the pioneer pharmaceutical association in the country, PhAMA continues to lead the industry by sharing global expertise and providing collective wisdom with peers and external stakeholders.

Driven by our tagline of ‘Innovative Medicines for Malaysia’, PhAMA strives to bridge global biopharmaceutical players with a wide range of stakeholders, serving as an important link between global and local players to benefit the lives of patients and their caregivers.
